Overview
Most UK adults are vaccinated against diphtheria, tetanus and polio in childhood. A combined booster is often recommended before travel to countries where these diseases are still present, or if your last dose was more than 10 years ago.
Who should consider it
- Travel to Asia, Africa, the Middle East, South America and parts of Eastern Europe
- Anyone whose last booster was over 10 years ago
- Travellers at risk of cuts and wounds (adventure travel, working abroad)
